Medical and Dental Programs. An apple a day keeps the doctor away and flossing daily does the same for the Dentist! However, we are all human and need the best medical coverage. Eligible full-time associates can choose from a variety of plans, so you can select the coverage that’s right for you, your family and your budget. You can also cover your dependents, including a spouse or same sex domestic partner and eligible children. Costs vary by the type of coverage you choose. In addition, contributions to these plans may be made on a pre-tax basis to keep more money in your paycheck.

Live Healthy Wellness Program. It is all about good health and being educated about how to make the best choices for practicing preventive care. Bloomingdale’s associates are encouraged to Live Healthy every day, and we sponsor programs such as “Know Your Numbers” screenings, lifestyle coaching and disease management programs, tobacco cessation programs, flu shot clinics, wellness challenges and more. In addition, Healthy Choices medical options offer free preventative care coverage to enrolled associates and their families, as well as a 24/7 nurse line to answer questions at any time.

Disability Income Protection. We hope you never need this…but it’s reassuring it’s there. Plans to protect your income in the event of a short-term disability due to illness or a non-work-related injury are important to you and your family. Bloomingdale’s offers these plans as well as long-term disability plans to eligible full-time and part-time associates.

Employee Assistance Program. Sometimes it is difficult to juggle the demands of work and family while managing a household, caring for loved ones and maintaining good health. Associates and family members who are enrolled in Company-sponsored medical options may use the Employee Assistance Program, which is a personal consultation and resource service that can help solve life’s everyday challenges – big and small.
