Job Overview:
The Merchandise Information Office (MIO) supports the merchant organization through the troubleshooting of systems.  The MIO Analyst is primarily responsible for systems support for the Merchant Teams. He/She also serves as liaison between Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s Inc. The individual must be able to understand the business and systems needs at a detailed level and recommend, evaluate and implement technology/business solutions as required. The position entails a great deal of business/system process analysis, project management and troubleshooting.
Essential Functions:
• Provide primary support for internal merchant systems
• Effectively analyze / troubleshoot issues and be able to summarize complex findings in a clear and concise manner
• Uphold highest standards of data integrity
• Help to implement business initiatives by analyzing business impact, feasibility, system constraints and business rules
• Assist Manager/Director in all phases of discovery work and systems rollouts
• Recommend best practices for merchant systems rollouts and user adoption
• Identify trends and opportunities to streamline processes and create workflow efficiencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and execute Macy Systems and Technology and Brand Strategy initiatives
• Represent Bloomingdales on conference calls with vendors and/or Macy’s
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing
• Prepare recaps, ad hoc reports, and statistical recaps
• Manage assigned merchant systems, functions, and databases
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Retail experience preferred

• Flexibility in responding to changing priorities
Other Skills:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
• Strong customer service skills; understands customer needs and provides sound guidance
• Basic understanding of databases preferred
